Allen Lawnmower Policies

Shipping

*FREE SHIPPING & No Sales Tax applies to 48 states. If you have any questions about shipping please call 800-762-5536. No sales tax applies to 48 states. Tax will be charged to residents who live in the States of MA or CT. Free Shipping on orders over $300 is for select parts, handheld equipment and generators. You will be notified if you do not qualify for free shipping on an item. If you have any questions about shipping please call 800-762-5536. Some items can not be shipped due to emission regulation or Manufacturers policies.

Orders going west cost via FREIGHT can take 7 to 10 days to arrive. Please make note of this when placing order.

On most items we will pay the shipping excluding Hawaii & Alaska. For small accessories or parts the buyer will pay the shipping of $25.00 for AL & HA or the item will say otherwise.

Most orders received during this time are charged, processed and shipped within 5 to 7 business days.

Orders are shipped via UPS or USPS depending on the amount of the weight of the items being shipped. Some items are sent via UPS Freight because of the weight of the item(s).

All orders over 150 lbs will be shipped via UPS Freight. Lift gate service is recommended when shipping to a residence. Free shipping may apply to freight orders but lift gate service is an additional $150 charge.

Shipping Insurance: It is required to have insurance when placing an order with our company. It protects your order against loss or damage during shipping. Insurance charge of $3.00 will automatically be added to your order, even orders qualifying for free freight. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Warranty and Returns

For all unused / non-damaged returned items in original condition, in the original packaging with all original documents within 30 days of the original purchase date, there is a 15% restocking fee on the item price (15 percent fee does not apply to cost of shipping/insurance). For used / non-damaged returned items in original condition, in original packaging within15 days from original purchase date, with all original documents, there is a 25% restocking fee on the item price (restocking fees do not apply to cost of shipping/insurance). Shipping & Insurance charges are non-refundable. Buyer is responsible for all freight charges, of shipping product to buyer and shipping product back. Refunds will be provided to the buyer within 5 business days from receipt of the item(s). Exchanges: There is no restocking fee on exchanged items, provided the item is unused, and in original condition with all applicable parts, packaging, manuals, etc... Shipping is non-refundable. Buyer is responsible for all freight charges of shipping product(s) to buyer and return shipping. You must call to receive a return authorization before you can return any product(s) back.

Additional Allen Lawnmower policies:

  1. Consignment of equipment. Allen Lawnmower does not buy equipment. We can however try and sell your equipment for you for the price you set. Allen lawnmower receives a 25% commission on the sale. Lawnmowers and hand held equipment require $ 25.00 deposit left by the seller. Snowblowers and widecuts a $ 50.00 deposit. Tractors and commercial equipment $ 100.00. Upon sale, this deposit is deducted from Allen Lawnmower’s commission. After 90 days, equipment becomes the property of Allen Lawnmower and your deposit is refunded, or you may take your equipment, but forfeit your deposit. Additional pickup and delivery charges may apply.
  2. Estimates:
    1. $ 50.00 charge for lawnmowers, hand held equipment due at time equipment brought in. $ 75.00 charge on riders, tractors, widecuts and snowblowers. $ 25.00 on all electric/battery equipment. If estimated work is authorized, this charge is applied towards the bill. If work is declined, this covers our costs and time to estimate your work. If we must take apart your equipment to evaluate it and the estimate is declined, there is a $ 25.00 assembly charge. Separate pickup and delivery charges may apply. If work is declined, and a new machine is purchased from Allen Lawnmower, the estimate deposit will be applied to the new equipment. Estimate deposit must be paid at time of unit coming into service or pickup.
  3. Warranty work for equipment not purchased from Allen Lawnmower. Allen lawnmower is an authorized warranty center for many products, including many we do not sell. However, no manufacturer covers under their warranty any neglect, wear items or fuel issues. Absolutely no fuel issues are covered under the manufacturer warranty, nor under ANY extended warranty you may have. No warranty work will be done without proof of purchase. Normal adjustments are not covered under warranty either. SOMEONE has to pay us for our time. If it is not covered by the manufacturer, then the customer is responsible.
  4. Pickup and Delivery: For wheeled units purchased from any Allen Lawnmower store, pickup and delivery is FREE. For units not purchased from Allen Lawnmower, the following charges apply:
    1. Rotary mowers $ 40.00
    2. Riders/Lawn Tractor $ 75.00
    3. Garden Tractors $ 90.00
    4. Tractor w/ attach $ 120.00
    5. ZTR/Utility Vehicle $ 100.00
    6. Widecut/Comm. Walk $ 75.00
    7. Snowblower $ 65.00
  5. STORAGE: Allen Lawnmower offers off season storage of your equipment. This is storage inside our building, not outside and not in a storage shed. Payment of storage fee must be paid for when unit is brought in. When units are here for service for the upcoming season, these storage units are done as a priority to ensure they are ready for the upcoming season. Service is an additional charge and not included in the storage fee. Pickup and delivery fees for units not purchased from Allen Lawnmower may apply. Storage fees are as follows:
    1. Rotary mowers $ 75.00
    2. Widecut/Comm Walk $ 100.00
    3. Rider or Lawn Tractor $ 100.00
    4. Garden Tractor $ 125.00
    5. Zero Turn mowers $ 150.00
    6. Snowblower $ 75.00
  6. Parts Policies:
    1. No returns or service warranty without receipt
    2. No returns on electrical parts or special order parts
    3. No returns allowed after 10 days from original purchase
    4. Approved returns are subject to a 20% re-stocking fee
    5. Very few parts in our business are “all the same”. We require model and serial/type numbers to insure you get the right part. We will make every effort to get the right part but without the model numbers no guarantee can be made.
    6. All special order parts must be pre-paid
    7. Parts must be in original package to be eligible for return
  7. Equipment Return Policy: No refunds on equipment if it has been used at all. Once equipment has been used, its now a used piece of equipment and cannot be sold as new. All new equipment comes with a manufacturer warranty. However, if a piece of equipment has had the same failure three times in the first year, Allen Lawnmower will exchange it for one of equal or greater value. If exchanged for one of greater value, the customer will pay the difference. Any approved returns of equipment will be subject to a 20% re-stocking fee.

 

  1. Trade-In Policy: Allen Lawnmower may take your old equipment in trade towards a new machine. To be eligible for trade-in, your equipment must be in working condition. If your equipment is not in working condition, we will dispose of it for you for no additional charge. Allen Lawnmower will credit you the trade-in amount after we have received your old equipment and evaluated it.

  1. Service Policies: Although Allen Lawnmower offers pickup and delivery service, we are not responsible for any damage that may occur in transit. Equipment still here 10 days after being notified of its completion may be eligible for a $ 2.00/day storage fee. All replacement parts except for normal wear items come with a standard manufacturer warranty. This does not cover neglect. All service work is guaranteed for 90 days. No other express guarantees are implied.
  1. Used Equipment: All used equipment unless otherwise stated, has been approved for re-sale. All used equipment unless otherwise stated comes with a 90 day warranty. However, in the case of a catastrophic failure (such as engine seizure, transmission failure) Allen Lawnmower will exchange the equipment for one of similar type and value. Full credit towards a new piece of equipment will be offered as well.
